Ford Sales Surge as Overall Growth Slows in China’s Vehicle Market


Chi­na is a bright spot for Ford as sales lag for oth­er vehi­cle man­u­fac­tur­ers. Last year Ford brand vehi­cle sales in Chi­na, includ­ing imports, rose 46 per­cent, com­pared with indus­try-wide sales growth of approx­i­mate­ly 14%. Ford sales in Chi­na for the first half of 2006 rose 102 per­cent.
