Europe, Japan Economic Growth Forecast to Offset US Cooling

As the US economy cools, Europe and Japan are forecast to pick up the slack. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development reduced its forecast for growth in America’s gross domestic product this year to 2.1 percent but predicts next year’s growth should spring back to 2.5 percent. The strong US job growth is expected to provide the basis for a return to economic normality.
