Rebuffed by Senate, Automakers Head for House of Representatives

After a stinging defeat in the Senate, automakers and their Michigan congressional allies take their fight against stringent fuel economy standards to the House of Representatives. The Senate approved an increase in fuel economy standards to 35 mpg by 2020, defeating an automaker-sponsored proposal for an increase to 30 mpg.
