Ford Losses Ground in Asia Where it Hopes Profits Will Offset US Losses


Ford lost mar­ket share or missed tar­gets through­out Asia with the excep­tion of Japan. Its prod­uct line is too expen­sive and too fuel inef­fi­cient for those mar­kets just as it is in the US. Ford is hop­ing the Euro­pean designed Fies­ta sub­com­pact com­ing to the US and Asia soon will improve prof­itabil­i­ty glob­al­ly.
