Ethanol Groups Take California to Court on Low Carbon Fuel Standard

Green Car Advisor - December 28, 2009

Renewable Fuels Association and Growth Energy, two leading ethanol advocacy groups, have taken California to federal court challenging the constitutionality of its low-carbon fuel standard. If the California Air Resources Board standard is adopted by the state, the rule may slow expansion of ethanol in the U.S., since California often takes the lead in clean-air regulations.
