Interest in Green Cars Rises Along with Fuel Prices

Even before the Arab upris­ings in the Mid­dle East, the price of gaso­line was head­ing toward $4 a gal­lon. Many ana­lysts now see this lev­el being reached some­time this year. Automak­ers are already see­ing an uptick in inter­est in their alter­na­tive-fuel and/or most fuel-effi­cient mod­els, and are con­fi­dent sales of those vehi­cles will increase sig­nif­i­cant­ly with the rise of fuel prices.
