Ford Seeks Global Leadership

Toy­ota and GM have com­pet­ed to lead world­wide vehi­cle sales, but they have com­pe­ti­tion. Volk­swa­gen and now Ford have made it clear they seek to be a leader in sales. Ford CEO Alan Mulal­ly has set a goal of 50% sales growth by the mid­dle of this decade. To reach those num­bers Ford will need to grow sig­nif­i­cant­ly in Asia, revive its Lin­coln brand, and rebuild its Euro­pean oper­a­tions.
