State Leaders Want Regulators to Balance Jobs with Fuel Economy

Fif­teen gov­er­nors are urg­ing the EPA and DOT to con­sid­er jobs and vehi­cle costs when the reg­u­la­tors set future fuel econ­o­my stan­dards. They fear if the new reg­u­la­tions are too tough, con­sumers will put off buy­ing new vehi­cles, which puts jobs across the coun­try at risk.
