Honda Cutting U.S., Canadian Production in Half

- October 30, 2011

Honda is cutting U.S. and Canadian production by half for the second time this year due to parts shortages caused by three months of disastrous flooding in Thailand. The cuts will last from this Wednesday until at least November 10 as Honda seeks other sources for microprocessors that are made in Thailand. Honda also announced quarterly profits that are down 56% in the wake of disruptions from the Japanese earthquake and tsunami in March.
