Proposed Fuel Rules Standard

- January 16, 2012

At a public hearing in Detroit last Tuesday, NADA dealers from around the country urged federal agencies to take into consideration the higher vehicle costs surrounding the proposed new fuel economy rules. The EPA and NHTSA estimate of additional cost per vehicle is $3,200, but dealers fear that figure could be under-estimated and that any additional cost could turn customers away.
