Toyota Still Tops in Brand-Perception Survey

The lat­est Con­sumer Reports brand-per­cep­tion sur­vey puts Toy­ota at the top of the pack once again, but ana­lysts agree that the gap between brands is shrink­ing and Ford, Hon­da and Chevro­let are not far behind. Most brands slipped a lit­tle this year, includ­ing Toy­ota, while GM’s Cadil­lac and Chevro­let brands slipped the least as con­sumers judge brands in safe­ty, qual­i­ty, val­ue, per­for­mance, envi­ron­men­tal­ly friendly/green, design/style and technology/innovation cat­e­gories.
