U.S. Automakers Aim Appeal at European Buyers

The upcom­ing Gene­va Motor Show is a reflec­tion of cur­rent Euro­pean eco­nom­ic chal­lenges. Automak­ers are focus­ing on high mileage con­ven­tion­al vehi­cles to appeal to dri­vers fac­ing high pump prices as hybrid sales go into reverse. GM intro­duces the Cadil­lac ATS and the Chevy Cruze wag­on (not sold in U.S.), and the Ford Fusion will be on hand. Ford of Europe is fac­ing huge loss­es this year.
