Every­thing the cur­rent grad­u­at­ing mechan­ic stu­dents learn today could be total­ly out­dat­ed five years from now, says one recent grad­u­ate, who envi­sions stroking com­put­er keys far more often than twist­ing wrench­es. Keep­ing up won’t be easy for deal­er­ships ser­vice depart­ments.. Paul Tay­lor, chief econ­o­mist of the Nation­al Auto­mo­bile Deal­ers Asso­ci­a­tion, says: “The future is cars that are less trou­ble­some but more com­pli­cat­ed.”
