Truck Fleets Use Monitoring Systems to Assess Driver Behavior

Light & Medium Truck - March 18, 2012

Fleet operators face increasing challenges in maintaining awareness and control of their drivers’ actions in the cabs of their trucks. In addition to the possibility of fines being levied against fleet operators and drivers who fail to comply with the ban on handheld phones, distracted drivers also present a safety hazard on the road. More fleets are now using monitoring systems as part of their safety programs that include driver training and behind-the-wheel behavior assessment.
