Tesla’s Mod­el S lux­u­ry sedan is spec­tac­u­lar, says the writer. Most elec­tric cars can’t get more than 100 miles a charge, but the Tes­la Mod­el S is rat­ed at 265 miles by the EPA, and Tes­la says it will go 300 miles at a con­sis­tent 55 mph. Alas, con­sumers may have to wait a year to buy one, and the cost for the “sig­na­ture per­for­mance” ver­sion is $105,400.
