While attend­ing the Inter­na­tion­al Auto­mo­tive Remar­keters Alliance sum­mer round­table, Beg­gs heard ana­lysts express less con­cern about the impact of ris­ing gaso­line prices. The steady slope up is smoother now, and the cur­rent lev­el is way below the record lev­el in 2008.

There Were Plen­ty of Activ­i­ties at Auc­tion in Late August:
Just under 2,000 vehi­cles were adjust­ed each day through­out the week.

Aver­age Seg­ment Changes Down for Cars –$69 and Trucks –$55:
Great­est decline since week of Oct. 28, 2011 for cars and past five weeks for trucks.

At Same Time, the 21% of Adjust­ments that Were Increas­es Was High­est Increas­ing Per­cent­age Over Past 7 Weeks:
If some­thing is in more pos­i­tive demand and val­ue, it was reflect­ed in a small­er increase.
