SUPERSTORM SANDY: Motorists in NJ, NY Face Gas Shortages, Struggle on Post-Hurricane Roads

The North­east strug­gled to get back on its feet after the dev­as­tat­ing hur­ri­cane. New Jer­sey has been hard­est hit, and motorists have been wait­ing in miles-long lines at the few gaso­line sta­tions that had pow­er. Com­muters into New York City encoun­tered a major traf­fic jam at the Lin­coln Tun­nel, only one of two entrances to the city from New Jer­sey that hadn’t been closed down.
