House Approves Budget Cut for NHTSA Highway Safety Projects

The U.S. House on March 6 approved a bill that funds gov­ern­ment oper­a­tions until Sept. 30, but cuts almost $50 mil­lion from high­way safe­ty resources. The Nation­al High­way Traf­fic Safe­ty Administration’s grants for seat belt, dis­tract­ed dri­ving, motor­cy­cle safe­ty and drunk dri­ving crack­downs will be cut from the cur­rent fund­ing bill.
