EcoMotors Gets Contract in China for Diverse Applications of Advanced Technology

Eco­Mo­tors, a Detroit-based pow­er­train com­pa­ny that brought in Bill Gates as an investor, has made a deal for $200 mil­lion to pro­duce its opoc motor in Chi­na with auto­mo­tive, sta­tion­ary, off-road and com­mer­cial oppor­tu­ni­ties. The opoc (which is short for opposed pis­ton-opposed cylin­der) has gen­er­at­ed a lot of inter­est because of its com­pact size, low emis­sions, and high effi­cien­cy.
