ARI Invests in New Sys­tem Speed­ing Up and Enhanc­ing Call Cen­ter Expe­ri­ence
ARI announced that it has made a sig­nif­i­cant invest­ment in its five tech­ni­cal call cen­ters in the US and Cana­da, intro­duc­ing a sys­tem that will speed call time and enhance the over­all caller expe­ri­ence. The new sys­tem uses cut­ting-edge inter­ac­tive voice tech­nol­o­gy to expe­dite sup­pli­er calls. When a call is first received, a sup­pli­er is now asked via voice prompt to pro­vide the last eight dig­its of the vehi­cle iden­ti­fi­ca­tion num­ber (VIN) for the vehi­cle about which they may be call­ing. The sys­tem is capa­ble of rec­og­niz­ing the caller’s voice response and pulls the appro­pri­ate vehi­cle record from ARI’s data­base, deliv­er­ing it to an ARI Tech­ni­cian as the call is con­nect­ed. GECFS and Car­fax Offer­ing Real-time Reports on Safe­ty Recalls
GE Cap­i­tal Fleet Ser­vices announced a first-of-its-kind agree­ment with Car­fax to devel­op real-time report­ing for fleet man­agers detail­ing safe­ty recalls not yet per­formed on vehi­cles with­in their fleets. Under the agree­ment, GE will have access to Carfax’s vehi­cle data to iden­ti­fy vehi­cles from more than 30 auto­mo­tive OEMs across cus­tomers’ fleets with recalls that have not yet been per­formed. The data will be turned into a cus­tomized web report that pro­vides a com­plete pic­ture of the open recalls across a spe­cif­ic fleet. Cur­rent­ly, recall notices are dis­trib­uted direct­ly from man­u­fac­tur­ers to vehi­cle oper­a­tors, putting the ini­tia­tive to bring vehi­cles in for ser­vic­ing with indi­vid­ual dri­vers rather than the fleet man­ag­er.
