CEI Attend­ing Gov­ern­ment Fleet Expo to Car­ry Cost Sav­ing Mes­sage
The CEI Group will bring its mes­sage of how gov­ern­ment fleets can save mon­ey and get more done with less by out­sourc­ing their acci­dent man­age­ment activ­i­ties to the 2013 Gov­ern­ment Fleet Expo and Con­fer­ence (“GFX”) in San Anto­nio, Texas, next week. CEI has helped gov­ern­ment fleets save hun­dreds of thou­sands of dol­lars through cre­ative repair tech­niques, short­er repair down­time, lever­ag­ing staff time with online tech­nol­o­gy and bet­ter rates of recov­ery of dam­ages from third-par­ty dri­vers respon­si­ble for col­li­sions with gov­ern­ment vehi­cles.

Ele­ment Finan­cial Acquir­ing GE Capital’s Cana­di­an Fleet Port­fo­lio
Ele­ment Finan­cial Corp. and GE Cap­i­tal  have entered into a defin­i­tive asset pur­chase agree­ment  where Ele­ment is acquir­ing GE Capital’s Cana­di­an fleet port­fo­lio; and the two com­pa­nies form a strate­gic alliance to deliv­er com­pre­hen­sive vehi­cle fleet financ­ing and man­age­ment ser­vices to cross-bor­der cus­tomers in Cana­da and the US. Ele­ment will acquire GE Capital’s exist­ing Cana­di­an fleet port­fo­lio for C$570 mil­lion, along with the GE Cap­i­tal Cana­da fleet oper­a­tional resources required to ser­vice this port­fo­lio.  These Cana­di­an oper­a­tions will be com­bined with TLS Fleet Man­age­ment, Element’s exist­ing fleet man­age­ment busi­ness. 

Hertz and Nav­i­ga­tion Solu­tions Add Inno­va­tions to Hertz Nev­er­Lost
The Hertz Cor­po­ra­tion and Nav­i­ga­tion Solu­tions, a whol­ly-owned sub­sidiary of Hertz, today announce the newest inno­va­tions to Hertz Nev­er­Lost trav­el plan­ning tools, cre­at­ing an eas­i­er way for users to plan trips and explore cities. Among the enhance­ments, Hertz has part­nered with Water­keep­er Alliance to offer the first-ever “Water­keep­er Swim Guide,” a new data source that will tell users where beach­es are locat­ed, which are safe for swim­ming, and what’s unique about each beach. Hertz is also expand­ing its Nev­er­Lost My Explore mobile app to include five new city guides.

ParkMe Dis­played at Telem­at­ics Detroit with Audi and Inrix
ParkMe, a provider of real-time park­ing infor­ma­tion, is deliv­er­ing live park­ing infor­ma­tion with a new Audi and Inrix real-time nav­i­ga­tion ser­vice. This marks the first time that real-time park­ing is made avail­able in U.S. cars. At 2013 Telem­at­ics Detroit, Inrix is demon­strat­ing with Audi the ease for dri­vers to add new ser­vices with its real-time nav­i­ga­tion ser­vice that helps dri­vers find and nav­i­gate to the entrance of the clos­est least expen­sive park­ing loca­tion to their des­ti­na­tion. ParkMe is the source for the Inrix Park­ing data­base that includes more than 18,000 park­ing facil­i­ties in North Amer­i­ca.
