Wheels Honored with Two Stevie Awards

Wheels, Inc. took home two Amer­i­can Busi­ness Awards (also known as “Ste­vies”) last week.

Wheels’ new pub­lic web­site won a Sil­ver Ste­vie for Best Web Writing/Content, while the company’s Results + per­for­mance man­age­ment method­ol­o­gy earned a Bronze Ste­vie in one of the Best New Prod­uct or Ser­vice cat­e­gories.

“At Wheels, we are com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing our clients with the most advanced ser­vice capa­bil­i­ties, tech­nol­o­gy and per­for­mance man­age­ment method­olo­gies,” said Gail Wheel­er, Senior Direc­tor of Mar­ket­ing at Wheels. “Over the last year we have com­plet­ed some very sig­nif­i­cant projects that have helped us con­tin­ue that ini­tia­tive, and we are extreme­ly grate­ful to the Ste­vie judges for rec­og­niz­ing our hard work.”

One of those projects was an exten­sive ren­o­va­tion of Wheels’ pub­lic web­site (www.wheels.com). The new site fea­tures enhanced nav­i­ga­tion, con­tent and graph­ics that are designed to pro­vide opti­mal lev­els of usabil­i­ty.

“Our web­site revamp was dri­ven by a chang­ing mar­ket­place that favors sites with scannable, results-based con­tent that speaks to a vari­ety of audi­ences,” Wheel­er said. “We used strate­gic visu­al media and typog­ra­phy treat­ments to cre­ate a tru­ly flu­id and log­i­cal user expe­ri­ence. Our new web­site more suc­cinct­ly focus­es on results while still artic­u­lat­ing our com­pet­i­tive dif­fer­en­tia­tors.”

Last year Wheels also refined and brand­ed its long­stand­ing strate­gic account man­age­ment approach. Now known as Results+™, the company’s award-win­ning per­for­mance man­age­ment method­ol­o­gy focus­es on short-and long-term strate­gic account plans that are cus­tomized to fit each client’s spe­cif­ic needs.

“Through cus­tomized busi­ness plans, pro­pri­etary seg­men­ta­tion mod­els and reg­u­lar account per­for­mance reviews, Results+ helps Wheels’ clients clear­ly iden­ti­fy areas of focus and quan­ti­fy results,” said Lau­ra Jozwiak, Wheels’ Vice Pres­i­dent of Client Rela­tions. “Our clients have praised the accu­rate, suc­cinct and action­able way in which data is pre­sent­ed and used to dri­ve sound fleet-wide deci­sions.”

And Jozwiak said that while Results+ entails a big-pic­ture focus on ensur­ing con­tin­u­ous improve­ment for each customer’s fleet, it can also be used to dri­ve suc­cess for the indi­vid­ual ele­ments of a client’s ser­vic­ing pro­file. This is accom­plished through new Results+ Mod­ules, which are data-dri­ven, client-spe­cif­ic work prod­ucts that pro­vide strate­gic guid­ance and results map­ping on focused fleet top­ics, such as fuel, risk and remar­ket­ing.

The Amer­i­can Busi­ness Awards are the world’s pre­mier busi­ness awards, fea­tur­ing entrants from across the U.S. in all types of busi­ness­es – large and small, pub­lic and pri­vate, for-prof­it and non-prof­it. More than 3,300 nom­i­na­tions from orga­ni­za­tions in vir­tu­al­ly every indus­try were sub­mit­ted this year for con­sid­er­a­tion in a wide range of cat­e­gories, and win­ners were select­ed by more than 240 exec­u­tives nation­wide who par­tic­i­pat­ed in the judg­ing process.

The 12th annu­al Ste­vie Awards were pre­sent­ed at two awards events. Last Friday’s event, held in San Fran­cis­co, focused on the tech­nol­o­gy and new prod­uct awards cat­e­gories. Awards for mar­ket­ing, cus­tomer ser­vice, human resources, and oth­er dis­ci­plines were announced in Chica­go in June.

At the June event, Wheels won a Sil­ver Ste­vie award in recog­ni­tion of recent con­tri­bu­tions the Wheels Client Ana­lyt­ics team made in refin­ing the company’s data inter­pre­ta­tion process­es to bet­ter com­mu­ni­cate fleet per­for­mance sta­tis­tics to each Wheels client.
