Subaru to Help Toyota Regain Its Excitement

As a result of the announce­ment that Toy­ota will buy a larg­er stake in Fuji Heavy Indus­tries, oth­er automak­ers “prob­a­bly should wor­ry” about the Toy­ota-Sub­aru con­nec­tion. The two automak­ers will joint­ly devel­op cars, but Toy­ota will also have access to Subaru’s all-wheel-dri­ve tech­nol­o­gy and 4-cylin­der box­er engine. For an automak­er accused in its home mar­ket of not build­ing excit­ing cars, this will help Toy­ota regain its image.
