J.D. Power: September New-Vehicle Sales Much Better Than August

J.D. Pow­er and Asso­ciates reports that new-vehi­cle sales for Sep­tem­ber keep improv­ing, and the sales rate is expect­ed to be far bet­ter than August. New-vehi­cle sales for Sep­tem­ber are cur­rent­ly pro­ject­ed at 842,400 units, rep­re­sent­ing a SAAR of 10.3 mil­lion units. That’s the first time the SAAR has been above 10 mil­lion units since April (when it hit 10.8m units). Total light-vehi­cle sales in Sep­tem­ber are expect­ed to come in at 1,038,700 units, which is 9 per­cent high­er than in Sep­tem­ber 2010.
