J.D. Power and Associates reports that new-vehicle sales for September keep improving, and the sales rate is expected to be far better than August. New-vehicle sales for September are currently projected at 842,400 units, representing a SAAR of 10.3 million units. That’s the first time the SAAR has been above 10 million units since April (when it hit 10.8m units). Total light-vehicle sales in September are expected to come in at 1,038,700 units, which is 9 percent higher than in September 2010.
